CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Site Inspector (Level 8, Band 5) (VACANT)
Salary Range – $2,190,302 – $2,945,713 per annum and any allowance(s) attached to the post.
JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Project Engineer in ensuring works carried out to RWSL standards, specifications and schedule.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION
- Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering/Construction or equivalent, or
- At least three (3) years’ experience in a related field.
SKILLS AND APTITUDE
- Proven knowledge in Civil Engineers design of pipelines and pipeline appurtenances, water retaining and other reinforced concrete structures
- Practical knowledge of systems within water operations
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of hydraulic and sanitation systems
- Ability to carry out inspections and tests, do research and give technical advice
- Ability to co-ordinate and plan projects in accordance with work schedules
- Ability to display good interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate in both oral and written format
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
- Liaise with contractors where appropriate advising on aspects of the works
- Assist with drawings for the relevant projects
- Check lines, levels and layout of works to ensure conformity to drawings; including ground levels and invert levels of pipes
- Comply with relevant contractual and legal/statutory requirements
- Ensure that contracted/record drawings are prepared
- Measure the amount of work done is in line with payments requested
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned.
